Moko Jumbies, stilt performers a key asset to the cultural heritage of Caribbean Carnivals. Their vibrant tapestry and statuesque height encapsulates the celebration of Spirituality and joyous life. When creating the Illustrations as an additional part of the ‘Jankonu’ project I worked intentionally to create a distinction between the first set of characters and the Moko Jumbies. Unlike the pastel colour scheme that I had used previously, the set of characters had to be elevated both in colour hues and proportions. Commissioned by Desire Paths.
